Welcome to my official site! Due to popular demand, I have created a place to find the answers to common questions about my training techniques.
I believe that every dog is trainable regardless of age, breed, emotional disability, or physical disability. I train using positive reinforcement. In most cases this means giving treats. However, I use whatever the dog thinks is a reward. This could be playtime, time spent with you, going for a walk, or anything your particular dog enjoys. I use treats at first because they provide quick rewards and immediate gratification for the dog.
I believe no two dogs are alike and each dog is trained in the way he or she learns best. I also take into account the owner. Some people have difficulty with saying "no" to their dogs, so we adapt and use alternative methods.
Some of my favorite dog clients have come to me as abused, frightened dogs. Teaching these dogs to trust again is one of my passions. I cannot tell you how rewarding it is to see an abused dog actually wag its tail and engage with its new family. Awesome!
I love what I do- making families happier by creating a well-behaved, mannerly dog. The great thing is that it's so easy to learn and results are immediate.
